Our mission is to make disciple makers
We do that by being Jesus Followers who abide, connect, & multiply.
We Are Jesus Followers...
What does that mean? It means that we have abandoned our pursuits and dreams to pursue the dreams and desires of Jesus, the one who died for us to give us life.
To simplify, we believe that a Jesus follower does three things: abide, connect, & Multiply.
These three messages go deeper into what it means to follow Jesus. Listen and consider how you too can be a Jesus follower!
We are Jesus followers
We spend time with Jesus
We serve like Jesus
We preach Jesus
We worship like Jesus
We are on mission with Jesus
We empower leaders like Jesus
Jesus followers remain with Christ. Jesus said “I am the vine and you are the branches. He who abides in me bears much fruit.” The only way we can live a fruitful life that brings God glory is to stay close to Jesus every day. Each day is a new day that we choose to deny ourselves and live for Jesus, or ignore God and live for ourselves. We live for Jesus by taking time each day to dwell in his presence. We are those who know Jesus personally because we pray, we read the word, and we put into practice whatever he speaks to us. As Jesus said, "Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.”
Jesus followers connect to the church. The church is the body of Christ that is made up of a diverse group of gifted people. A church is not a building, a church is a gathering of people who get together regularly to worship God and form a loving community that is unified by the Holy Spirit. Jesus followers understand that they are an essential part of the body, and that the body of Christ would not exist if it were not for people committed to forming a healthy church. Every Christ follower has an important role to play within the body and they use their gifts to serve Jesus as they serve in the church.
Jesus followers multiply. Living a fruitful life is something that brings God glory and happens naturally as we become rooted in our faith. There are many people who receive Christ and then fall away; however, true Jesus followers bear fruit because their seed of faith has fallen on good soil and is watered daily and bears eternal fruit. Jesus followers are on an eternal journey to heaven and are committed to growing God’s kingdom as they live life and exist in society. Faith is more than attendance to church on Sunday. It is a life pursuit. Jesus followers are committed to giving their resources to bless others in the church and in the world. They are disciple makers that multiply.
